History of the company
The G E T s.r.o. Company was founded in mid-1993 by RNDr. Jiří Čermák, RNDr. Václav Štefek and RNDr. Tomáš Pechar, employees of GMS a.s. (one of the successors of the Geoindustria State Enterprise). Its date of incorporation in the Commercial Register was the 4th August 1993.
From the very outset the company was engaged in the design, implementation and evaluation of geological works. The company gradually expanded its activities to include mining design, surveying, design projects for remediation and reclamation, ecological projects (the preparation of EIA and SEA documentation, noise measurement and noise studies, biological surveys, etc.), land use planning and more.
The activities of the company were gradually expanded to include a production branch, and since 2004 the G E T s.r.o. Company, with its own staff, has been participating in the implementation of mining activities (earthworks) at the Úpohlavy quarry (the location of the Čížkovice Cement Works).
Currently G E T s.r.o., thanks to the wide range of services that it can offer, is able to provide comprehensive design work not only for companies in the mining industry, but also for builders, the designers of buildings and of land-use plans, for municipalities, government authorities and other entities.
Since 2005, the G E T s.r.o. Company has employed a certified quality management system and an environmental management system in accordance with CSN EN ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004.
During the period of operation of the company in the Czech Republic five branches have been established - in Brno, České Budějovice, Liberec, Teplice and Úpohlavy.
In 2006 G E T s.r.o. purchased a 100% interest in an urban planning studio - the U-24 s.r.o. Company. In this manner it not only acquired new headquarters in Perucká Street No. 2540/11a, Prague 2 - Vinohrady, but was also able to expand its portfolio of activities concerning urban planning.
In 2007 G E T s.r.o. established a subsidiary branch located in Banská Bystrica in the Slovak Republic. In February 2013 this branch was designated as the G E T SK s. r. o. Company and was then based in Bratislava (with the date of incorporation in the Commercial Register of the Slovak Republic as of the 12th March 2013).
The number of our employees has increased from the original three employees in 1993 to 55 in the year 2016.
