The manner of the implementation of the PERC and the JORC standards in the Czech Republic

G E T s.r.o. is the principal investigator of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic’s important project entitled “Comparison criteria for the classification of reserved deposits of the raw mineral material base in the Czech Republic to ensure its compatibility with the internationally recognised PERC and JORC standards”. A certified methodology will be developed within the project that will fulfil the needs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and of the other government authorities in regard to the implementation of their strategic objectives and for the accurate evaluation of their mineral resources potential. A process will be designed that will enable comparing the data obtained using the obsolete evaluation methodology of deposits with the new criteria. Model recalculations will be carried out in regard to the resources/deposits of energy raw materials, ore raw materials, industrial minerals and construction materials. In the first place a software application will be created for the economic evaluation of the usability of the reserved mineral deposits in the Czech Republic. The final result will be a specialised map of the sites that had been investigated. For the private sector the significance of the project is based on the introduction of the PERC system and of its internationally recognised equivalents for the purpose of the acquisition of mineral resources/deposits in the Czech Republic.
